Positive: We liked everything about this place, it was beautiful and the traditional Japanese room was charming and also very spacious. The futons were comfortable, the staff was polite, helpful and kind; and the onsen was great! We fell in love with this place.
Negative: If you walk to the hotel, there is quite a long and steep hill to climb to reach it.

Positive: Incredible surroundings, very friendly and helpful staff, even though they speak very little English. Pleasant experience. Very near the busstop that gets you everywhere you want to go. Hotsprings pool was nice. Thank heavens for aircon in the room...!
Negative: Found it very pricey

Positive: Great location, walking distance to many restaurants , close to a bus stop as well. Facilities including onsen were good, staff pleasant and overall good experience! We appreciated it being a smaller, quaint and traditional feel place.
Negative: Nothing.

Positive: Well priced and beautifully located. Very tradition, and staff were friendly.
Negative: Bus drops you a little ways from the hotel, the large hill is a tough walk with kids and bags when there is no footpath and a winding road.

Positive: Staying at Hakone Onsen Sanso Nakamura was a authentic japanese experience. After a day full of sightseeing a bath in the Onsen was very relaxing. We also enjoyed the typical japanese breakfast which changed every day. The hotel manager met our wishes for breakfast without meat. The location of the hotel was in a quiet neighbourhood and bus stop was within walking distance.
Negative: The interior of the hotel has sure seen better days and the matresses in the japanese style rooms were a bit thin. We would have appreciated extra showers beside the ones directly by the onsen. Since the served traditional japanese breakfast was dominated by fish it might not be for everyone.
